In a nutshell

Learn the art of making authentic Polish dumplings, otherwise known as pierogi, in this online cooking class, which will transport you to the flour-dusted kitchens of your hosts in Krakow. Follow along on screen as they demonstrate the secrets to making pierogi from scratch and, if you need a bit of liquid courage to help you along, throw back a shot of vodka – Polish, of course.

As you prepare the national dish of Poland, you’ll find out about all the different types of pierogi and how they’re served in Poland, so be sure to jot down any you like the sound of for future cooking. Plus, you’ll learn about the patron saint of pierogi, St Hyacinth. In the blink of an eye, you’ll be scooping up your finished pierogi from the frying pan and tucking in virtually with the rest of the class. If you’ve any questions about pierogi, or life in Poland, you can always ask your friendly hosts in between mouthfuls of these delicious dumplings.
