About the host

Johan has been baking since he was a child, learning the ropes from his grandfather, a local baker in Old Antwerp. It was here he made a mousse for the first time at just eight years old, following a family recipe. This instilled a passion for mousse-making, and Johan went on to attend culinary school to refine his skills before becoming an executive chef for the Belgian Ambassador to the UN. After enjoying great success, Johan ventured out on his own and went on to open the first-ever Chocolate Mousse Bar in the US in New York City.
